On Wednesday, February 11, Governor Wes Moore took to the Speaker’s dias in the House of Delegates to give a campaign speech disguised as a “State of the State.” The Maryland Freedom Caucus was in attendance during and after the speech to respond to all of the misdirections and untruths.

Right off the bat, Governor Moore continued his public push against Senate President, Bill Ferguson, to redistrict our congressional seats and wipe out Representative Andy Harris’ district.

It wasn’t until 27 minutes into his remarks that he finally mentioned what is on everyone’s mind: skyrocketing energy bills. While the governor bragged about the pennies he returned to ratepayers in just one single rebate this year, he refused to mention any of the real policy solutions that would lower energy bills NOW, the Maryland Freedom Caucus 4-Part Plan.

Wes Moore then spoke at length about his party’s favorite constituency: illegal aliens and other noncitizens.

Announcing the “Citizenship Maryland” bringing together law firms, the private sector, and unions to help a whopping 150,000 noncitizen “Marylanders” obtain citizenship! Crushing energy bills, unaffordable housing, roads in ruin, but noncitizens will get the leg up. Thanks, Gov.

To really sell the program, he told stories of men being grabbed by ICE in our state, all while ignoring all the women grabbed by criminal, illegal aliens.
